Description

CHS - Cawston Historical Society:

The Society was formed following a meeting at Cawston Village Hall on Thursday 20th April 2006. The committee met for the first time on Thursday 4th May and thanked everyone for a well supported evening and for the donations received.

The inaugural meeting of the society was held on Thursday 15th June at the Cawston Village Hall. The possibilities for the society are endless, but we do need to collect and collate the history of our village so do please support this venture.

Cawston Remembers Project: Click Here to see details of our 70 minute CHS History DVD Project which was launched on Saturday 5th July 2014 at Cawston Primary School. The show started with a proformance by the Cawston Brass Band which is also featured in the DVD.

Property Owners: If you are selling a property in the parish of Cawston could you please ask for the old deeds as they are not now required and could be destroyed.

The Cawston Heritage Society would very much like to store them in the Heritage room in the Village Hall or to copy for our records with any photos or information for the benefit of present and future generations.
